HELICOPTERS (Sydney Airport)

 Hello and Welcome Back... My Fav Way of Flying...

Just tucked at the right hand of Sydney Airport is home to several Helicopter Company's such as 'Black Ops Helicopters', 'Blue Sky Helicopters', 'Sydney Hele-Charter', Sydney Heli-Tours (Pic above & below) and more...

There's no real place to photograph the helicopters unless you get them coming in above you, like i did in the photos on this page as there is a huge black fence that surrounds the Helicopter area... I did notice that my zoom lens (200mm) didn't seem to worry about the fence at some angles which is good but you just get the back of the chopper...

FREQUENCIES

120.800mhz

Sadly, most helicopter company's at Sydney airport don't rely on 2-way radios (that i know of) so comms is limited instead relying on mobile phone..

Air Freight in NSW is a huge industry, with company's like Federal Express (Fed Ex), DHL, Qantas Freight, Pionair, UPS, Cathay Pacific and several more keeping the state moving...

More & more people are using on-line buying and these guys move a mind boggling amount of cargo usually overnight while the rest of the population is sleeping.. or shopping
