Hello and welcome back.... Ever wondered whats inside your Foxtel Satellite dish, you know, the bit at the front... known as the Feed Horn.
Wonder no More... Its very Interesting
This is the Feed Horn that sits facing the dish and receiving signals bouncing off the metal dish.
With the plastic bits missing
The other side, standard 'F' type connector
Inside the feed horn, notice the circular dome part to feed the signal into the center and the pins at the end...Poetry in Motion?
Close up of the 'pins'
Its a Sharp
I find this sort of thing interesting, the machinations of how things work... how does a dish and receiver bit pin point a satellite in the sky, receive both picture and sound and the decode it for your enjoyment ?... Amazing
