HAWK JETS AT RICHMOND RAAF NSW - 05/06/2014

Five Hawk 127 jet aircraft will conduct diversion training at RAAF Base Richmond tonight – 5 June 2014 – from approximately 7:00pm to 8:30pm

 The Hawks from RAAF Base Williamtown, near Newcastle, will conduct circuit training including ‘touch-and-go’ landings in 15 staggered minute windows.

The ability to land at alternate airfields is an essential part of pilot training on the Hawk aircraft. RAAF Richmond is the primary diversion airfield for RAAF Base Williamtown.

Residents should note that these dates and times are subject to change.

Noise reduction and the environment are vital considerations in the planning and conduct of military activity, and Air Force appreciates the ongoing support of the Hawkesbury community during training activities such as this.
